It was a gorgious and sunny weekend in Columbus, OH! Friday night was spent at Bill's eating Chipotle and playing Uno. We wanted to have a chill/relaxing night because Saturday morning we had to get up early to run in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure 5k.
My friend, Meggan, works for Limited Brands/Victoria's Secret and asked me to be a guest participant with her company. Of course I said yes! And we got some really cute shirts that said "Think Pink". I loved seeing the crowds of tens of thousands of people that got involved and came down to run or walk. There were people in pink head to toe! Even some pink wigs! It was amazing to see all of the breast cancer survivors in their pink t-shirts. I also became emotional seeing a lot of people with signs on the back of their shirt that read "running for _____" in rememberance of a loved one...
Good news is I ran the entire 5k!! Whoo Hoo! Now, it's time to buckle down and really start training for my half marathon in October! :/
After the race, the girls, Bill and I went to a coffee shop near by just to kick up our aching feet :)
Later in the day, Bill and I went out for lunch at Cheeseburger in Paradise where I treated myself to a frozen, refreshing and delicious Marg! I think I deserved a treat!
The rest of the day was filled with car errands such as cleaning, vaccuuming, oil change...blah blah...I hate car maintenance!
For dinner we went to Las Margaritas (guess I had margs on the brain all day!) and shared a pitcher of their red wine sangria and sat out on the patio. It was a perfect patio sitting and sipping night!
Sunday was a day of relaxation after church...Catching up on my favorite shows and reading more of 50 shades...I'm almost done! What a page turner!
How was your weekend?
xoxo,
L
